Depression and anxiety are the major disorders found in patients with chronic kidney failure undergoing hemodialysis therapy, so that patients with kidney failure are expected to implement effective coping strategies. One of the coping strategies is spiritual intelligence. This research aimed to understand the relationship between spiritual intelligence and the anxiety levels of chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy in the Hemodialysis Room of Dr. Saiful Anwar Public Hospital. This research design applied correlation with the cross-sectional approach. The research population was 41 people. In addition, the sampling used quota sampling with samples of 37 people. Data collection techniques employed questionnaires. On the other hand, the data analysis method used was the Spearman Rho test using SPSS 20. This research showed that most of the respondents, 28 people (75.68%), had moderate spiritual intelligence, and almost half of the respondents, 17 respondents (45.95%), had moderate levels of anxiety. The results of the Spearman rank test showed that the value of p = (0.034) < (0.05) so that the hypothesis (H1) was accepted and the hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Based on the research result, in order to reduce the anxiety level of chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy, one of them was by increasing the patient's spiritual intelligence. The researcher suggested that further researchers need to conduct deeper research regarding fulfilling spiritual needs factors in terms of nursing care providers and patients.
