Hubungan Status Gizi Dengan Perkembangan Bayi Usia 6 - 12 Bulan Di Posyandu Mawar Merah Kelurahan Polowijen Kecamatan Blimbing Kota Malang

Many nutritional problems in Indonesia are caused by an imbalance between the needs of energy and protein intake consumed over a long period of time. In addition, there is still a high incidence of growth and development disorders in children under five years of age, especially motor development disorders. This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the development of infants aged 6-12 months. The research design used was a correlational research design with a crossectional approach. The population of this study were all babies in Posyandu Mawar Merah, Polowijen Village, Blimbing District, Malang City, totaling 30 people and the sample used was 26 people with purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were baby scales and body length measurements using meetplank, and developmental assessment using the DDST method. The frequency distribution of nutritional status, that almost half (46%) of respondents had normal nutritional status, and only (12%) had undernourished status, while the development of infants almost all respondents (77%) were declared to pass / pass and 23% fail / fail their developmental tests. Analysis using the Sperman Rank correlation test at the 5% error level obtained the results of t count (0.544) > t table (0.390). This means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between nutritional status and infant development. Infants with good nutritional status tend to have optimal development.
